Confined Spaces

Confined Spaces

A confined space is defined as a place which is substantially enclosed, and where serious injury can occur from hazardous substances or conditions within the space or nearby. Therefore carrying out operations within confined spaces exposes the operatives to high risk such as dangerous fumes and gases, or a lack of oxygen.

At Cheshire Scaffolds, our managers, supervisors and operatives are certified (to CP1 and CP2) and fully trained to recognise these risks and to devise safe and effective methods of working in order to minimise them.
